Submission Guidelines
Before submitting anything to Apparition Online Magazine, please read the following guidelines. Failure to meet these will result in your article not being published on this website. To submit your work, e-mail your document to the editor as an attachment and include "Apparition Mag" in the subject line.

- NO explicit material. This means no sexual content and no explicit language.
- All contributors are expected to be civil in their writings. Absolutely no bashing.
- Please, please fully edit and proofread your documents before submitting!
- Every submission must be relevant to the topic of the paranormal.
- When you submit an article, story, poem, piece of evidence, etc. to Apparition, you are agreeing to let others respond to your submission, and to have those responses possibly published within the magazine, unless you specifically indicate with your submission that you do not want responses to your article to be published.
- You MUST cite any sources used in your article! Plagiarism is unacceptable.
- All EVPs, photo evidence, and investigation stories must be submitted with attached written permission from the home/business owner.
- Along with your article/materials, please include your name and a brief paragraph about yourself - What state and/or country are you from? Are you with a paranormal group? How many years have you been investigating? What kind of background do you have within the paranormal field? etc.
- For evidence or investigation stories, written permission from the client must accompany the submission. Without that permission, the story/evidence cannot be published. The permissions from the client will not be published and is only for the editor's eyes in an effort to protect the confidentiality of clients.
- For confidentiality purposes, names in articles may be changed, but it should be indicated somehow that they have been changed. (Such as in a footnote simply stating "names have been changed.")
Other Info to Know Before Submitting
- The editor(s) will decide what gets published and what does not.
- When you submit any writing, the editor(s) will review the work to make sure it is fully proofread and copy-edited. If not, the article will be sent back with suggestions. After the issues are fixed, you may then re-submit your work. In the event that there are numerous errors or large errors which would require too much time on the part of the editor(s), your work may not be accepted, so please make sure that all grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation are correct.
- All sources must be cited correctly; please note that Wikipedia and similar websites are NOT reliable sources.

- Paranormal short stories
- Personal experiences
- Photo and EVP evidence (with client's permission)
- Paranormal poetry
- Investigation stories (with client's permission)
- Book reviews
- Interviews
- Questions for the general public to answer (and answers to other's questions); in the following issue, we will post the best replies to each question
- Other paranormal-related articles or materials
