Hi readers,

First of all, thank you to everyone who has come to this website, contributed an article, or otherwise shown support. I appreciate it all so much.

This magazine was created originally for a project I am doing for school (in a class called Creativity & Community - the magazine was the creative part, the paranormal community the community part). When we were first given the assignment, I had no idea what to do. I'm actually a very shy person; anything involving a community was going to have to involve other people which instantly made me all kinds of nervous. I was worried that my classmates would think I was odd or crazy, or that I would fail, or... so many other things. But, I was surprised at the response I got. My classmates were very encouraging and gave me a boost of confidence, and I am truly grateful for that. I also got some awesome responses from the paranormal community - those who submitted articles and others who weren't able to do so, but still took the time to send an encouraging word. I'm so glad that I decided to put myself out there a little, even though it was a bit scary. I fully intend on publishing future issues of this magazine, and I can't wait to see what others in this field have to say, from their unique perspectives.

As far as I how I got into the paranormal field - I had several experiences as a seventeen-year-old that led me to believe there was something else out there. I formed my own investigation group my last year of high school, and I learned a lot from that, but unfortunately, the group was forced to split as everyone went off to college and other obligations. I continue to read everything I can get my hands on and try to learn as much as I can from others in the field; hopefully someday I can get back into investigating and researching, but for now, this magazine is my contribution to the paranormal community. I hope that people will feel freer to express their ideas and opinions and share their experiences here, knowing that they will never be judged.

Outside of the paranormal community, I am a writer, a poet, and a college student majoring in English. I love to cook and especially to bake. I love reading, mainly fantasy/adventure novels and paranormal non-fiction. I'm ridiculously shy and working on that. I absolutely love words and languages, and took French in high school, taking Latin now, and want to learn many others including Spanish, Italian, and especially Irish. I'm not afraid to admit to being odd and a bit of a nerd. I'm not religious, but am highly spiritual, and I deeply believe in Balance. Of course, the paranormal tends to be a part of my everyday life in one way or another, but I wouldn't change that for the world. I only hope that one day, I'll be able to actually get out there and help at least one person who's experiencing activity and doesn't know how to deal with it, just as I didn't know how four years ago.
